“Several people had returned to the apartment building after being out at a local bar,” said a police investigator in Calgary, Alta., Canada, and went to a 12th floor apartment. Someone spotted the door to the trash chute, and the group started “joking” about sliding down to the basement. An unidentified 25-year-old man took the dare and jumped in. It's unclear whether or not he survived the 12-storey fall; if he did, he didn't survive the trash compactor at the bottom.
