So, with just hours to spare before judges were due to arrive, they sprayed the parched grass with green dye. “I was gobsmacked when I saw what they were doing,” one local said. “I think it’s bloody ridiculous.” But one of the organizers noted “the Britain in Bloom competition has rules against artificial flowers, but I don’t think it says anything about dyed grass.” (Reuters) ...I’m sure all of us are gobsmacked by this turn of events.
