Duhism
There's something True's fans have in common: a profound appreciation for the absurdities of everyday life. You read a story in True and slap your forehead, thinking "Duh! How stupid can a guy get?!" The amusement is tempered by knowing that we've all done stupid things -- but luckily not that stupid. Free Weird Newsletter A buddy who is a long, long-time True reader had one of those moments of epiphany recently. No, not a dumb idea, but a good one. What if the ancient Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu had a dumb American brother? Well, that would be Bob Tzu and, like Lao was the founder of Taoism, Bob wanted to be famous for founding a mode of thought too (or, as he puts it, faux-losophy). Enter Duhism. Sure enough, Duhism.com was available, and a meme was born. I have the pleasure of being the first to announce the new site, so you have the opportunity to watch it grow from birth, if you choose to. Duhism is "the Impractical Wisdumb of Bob Tzu" (as the web site puts it). Like what? "If you love something, let it go. Unless you're in love with a helium balloon. Those things don't come back, you know." Which is to say, things that sound like they ought to be profound, but aren't quite, really. You can dip your toe in the waters of Duhism in various ways, including Facebook, Twitter, and the Duhism web site, which has RSS and e-mail subscription options. If you sign up for the e-mail updates on the site, you'll get (by e-mail) a free copy of his e-book, "The Duh Of Success" (subtitle: "Bend the Universe to Your Will, Get Everything You've Ever Wanted, and Become Permanently Happy, Forever and Ever. Really!") The subtitle and the book compete for length; you won't have to spend the next week reading it, but the message (really is!) profound. And speaking of Facebook, by popular request we've created "fan pages" for True and the Get Out of Hell Free cards. Of course, I'm on Twitter, too. Blog Updates

Personally, I would have named the brother Ah Tzu. Duh! (D'oh!)
