This one has also been used in the CSI: Las Vegas as a plot used by girls to get men into their rooms and rob them - of course, murder occur. :D

Sounds like an urban legend to me - its not that easy to chloroform someone, it takes quite a lot and some time. Plus chloroform would evaporate fairly rapidly.

I doubt its true.

I don't doubt the story at all. But I do doubt it's chloroform. Big difference. -rc

If the women were really using chloroform I would think that they would pass out from the fumes before the men since they are being exposed longer. All volatile anesthetics by definition must evaporate quickly, and the fumes always pollute the atmosphere in the area.

...which is why I said I doubt it's really chloroform. -rc

Being a guy, I can see falling for the booby trap 5 times.

Eh... And what method will men use to rob women?? :)

---

Same as always: their charm. Of course, just as some women don't have cleavage, many men have no charm.... -rc

You hear of the reverse happening (men drugging women) and the victim gets raped instead of robbed, nothing new just something different being taken.

That page describes an e-mail hoax that is very little like what these stories describe. I have little doubt that the hoax is indeed a hoax. But it would be foolish to think that proves anything regarding different situations. -rc
