It's a Small, Smallll, World!

It seems to me that the world is getting smaller. Recently, within a three day period, I got several notes from readers that showed just how small. I'm not going to say which three (different!) stories are involved to help protect anonymity, but you'll get the idea....

Chuck in Georgia: "[The guy in the story] is my next door neighbor. I was at my house when it happened! Crazy small world we live in! Anyway, just thought I'd let you know that you have a reader living right next door to the action. (Now if only I can make it into a TRUE story myself next time... :-)"

I don't know, Chuck -- most readers wouldn't want to be mentioned in stories about dumb people!

John in Florida: "I live right next door to the party in [that story]. And it was too funny for words!"

And the best was from Kate in Texas: "Imagine my surprise when I opened the latest free edition of THIS IS TRUE and read about my own family! I knew immediately it had to be us, as we are the only ones in the U.S. with that name. I wanted to thank you for verifying that branch of the family is as idiotic as we've always thought they were. I don't know this younger generation, and now I'm glad I don't!"
