The Old Ball and Chain
Another story that needs the photo to be complete. From True's 31 July 2011 issue: Weekly Weird News The Old Ball and Chain Tammy Lee Hinton's fourth wedding may be her most memorable: after the ceremony in Leoni Township, Mich., the 53-year-old bride was arrested on a two-year-old felony warrant; she allegedly stole her son's identity to obtain utility services and a credit card. Officers allowed Hinton to pose for her wedding photos, and she then declined to change out of her dress and veil for her booking. "She was not in jail for more than 15 minutes, maybe a half hour," a police spokesman said. "She was able to bond right out" so her new husband could pick her up for their reception. But when Hinton didn't show up for a court hearing the next business day as promised, the judge issued another warrant. Officers arrested her again, and now she is being held on $100,000 bond. (AC/Jackson Citizen Patriot) ...She did, however, have to lift her veil for the mug shot. I'm not sure if Alexander knew I actually had the mug shot, but his tagline was exactly right!

Old being the operative word here; fourth wedding in a white wedding gown! You would think she was a Hollywood celebrity; I thought they were the only ones allowed to get married in white for a fourth wedding.

Putting to rest the myth that rednecks are only found down South.

@Barbara: White wedding dresses only became a symbol of "whole" women within the past 200 years or so. I think it was the Victorians who started wearing white dresses, but only to show extravagance. I need to find a reference, though. So, according to the tradition's origin, both Tammy and celebrities are on the money (pardon the pun). At least she raised her son well enough for him to have an identity worth stealing.

Oh how we miss the mugshots! Too bad that venture didn't continue, there will always be plenty of stupid people getting arrested in interesting ways.
