Jose Lopez woke up with a strange feeling. The Honduran fisherman slept off a hangover in a field after drinking a liter of aguardiente, a locally produced liquor. When he came out of his stupor he found that somehow a 4.4-inch bottle had been pushed up his rectum. “The foreign matter was stuck in his large intestine. We can’t figure out why it rose that high instead of descending,” said a surgeon in San Pedro Sula, who removed the bottle two weeks later. “I felt it moving up or down when I walked or changed my position,” Lopez said, adding he has no idea how it got there. “It was like being pregnant.” (Reuters) ...It could have been worse: he could have had to give birth to it.
