This is True

But You Can't Make Him Think

Nevada's Las Vegas draws crowds with its glitz and glamor, but the city would never be accused of having high culture. New York's Guggenheim Museum has lots of art it would like more people to see. So the museum is in talks with the Venetian hotel and casino to bring art to the masses by building a new 35,000-square-foot outpost by the casino's parking garage. The Phillips Collection of Washington, D.C., is negotiating for an exhibit at the Bellagio casino, and developer Steve Wynn is planning a new casino with an art gallery for his private collection. Gambling analyst Marvin Roffman is pushing for the highbrow exhibits. “There's a lot of people that have never seen a Picasso,” he says. (AP) ...But there are more who have never seen a jackpot.
