Call Me II

Peta King only wanted to hire women for her Melbourne, Australia, business, so when she was turned in to the state Anti-Discrimination Tribunal for refusing to hire men, she fought for an exemption in the Equal Opportunity Act. Her business? Grandma’s Live Phone Talk, a phone sex line. “I have so many men that ring and apply for the job,” King testified to the Tribunal, but “let’s face it, why would a woman need to pay for a fantasy phone call when all she has got to do is ring up the local army base or fire station?” The Tribunal granted her an exception. (AP) ...Next, the Tribunal will fine the army and fire department for only employing men to answer the phone.
