Calling Card

The recent 67th annual convention of the American Association for Nude Recreation in Dawsonville, Ga., was not welcomed by area businesses until the owner of the nude resort hosting the event passed out 1,500 $2 bills for the conventioneers to use while shopping. Paying with the rarely seen bill brought attention that the customers, who of course wore clothing while in town, were nudists, the Association says. Once the merchants saw how many people were using the bills, they threw their shop doors open wide to the nudists. “Their money is as good as mine,” enthused one restaurant owner. “They can come in here and eat naked if they want, as long as they pay.” (Wall Street Journal) ...Area gay groups like the idea, and are considering passing out $3 bills.
