Can’t Trust Anyone Anymore

The National Partnership for Women & Families says that TV shows do not accurately reflect actual society. “It’s a pretty distorted reflection,” says spokeswoman Lauren Asher. “There are very few working moms on TV compared with the real world. Almost nobody’s over 50, most adults are men, and child-care and elder-care just don’t seem to come up.” (UPI) ...TV shows also consistently under-represent politicians, over-represent criminals, and do not reflect society’s actual number of people with hemorrhoids, cancer, and acne, either.
