Catch Me If You Can

Ken Larsen, 34, was on the roof of a five-storey building in Walnut Creek, Calif., pulling cable. His co-worker yelled “Hold it a minute!”, but it was too late: Larsen had stepped backward off the edge. On the way down, Larsen realized he was still holding the cable, so he grabbed it hard while his co-worker leaned on the spinning spool to slow his fall. Thanks to the cable — and some tree branches — slowing him down, he survived with just bruises and scratches. Amazed paramedics “told me to go buy a lottery ticket,” Larsen said. “And I’m going to.” (AP) ...Better check him again: he may have brain damage if he thinks he can win California’s lottery.
