Choke it Down

Back Bay Brewing Co. in Boston, Mass., likes to name its beers after local history, such as Tea Party Porter. But it has heard protests over a newer brew, Boston Strangler Stout, named after a serial killer who murdered 13 women between 1962 and 1964. The murder victims’ families are demanding that the company change the name. Edward Brooke, who led the investigation into the murders, agreed. “It’s not something you want to be reminded of when you’re drinking beer.” (AP) ...Ah, but there’s the crafty marketing angle: if you drink enough, you’ll forget about it.
