Police in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., say they have solved a string of bank robberies, most of which occurred on Mondays. “This guy was hitting every week and then he didn’t hit for about 10 days and we were wondering what the heck,” said sheriff’s Detective Jim Young. After arresting Donald Lewis Dingerson and charging him with 11 counts of bank robbery, they found out why. He was in jail that week on unrelated charges. Dingerson told police he used the loot from the heists to make court-ordered restitution payments to victims of earlier crimes. The payments were due each Tuesday.
