Curse of the Ancients

German Adam Gotz, 30, claimed he was a “spiritual psychiatrist” and said the Pyramids in Giza, Egypt, provided spiritual energy that enabled believers to “transcend humanity”. That energy would allow people to be “free from death”, he told his girlfriend Sarah, traveling with him from Germany. Later, after climbing to the top of the 187-meter (617 feet) Cairo Tower, Gotz told Sarah he would prove what he was telling her was true: he jumped off. He was killed on impact. (Reuters) ...Warning: Belief in strange ideas does not guarantee that strange ideas will believe in you.
