Danger — Flying Toasters

When former President George Bush was supposedly “amazed” to see a bar code scanner in a supermarket, it was held up as an example of how out-of-touch the president was, even though presidents aren’t exactly known for grocery shopping trips. Bill Clinton has now outdone the man he replaced. During a visit to a senior citizen’s center in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., his attention was caught by a series of graphics on a computer screen — coffee cups, deer, and a blackboard — as they morphed from image to image. “Amazing!” the president exclaimed. The graphics were part of a “screen saver” program. (Reuters) ...Of course he was amazed: politicians don’t know anything about saving.
