Dumb

Chastity Cromer, 28, found a $100,000 winning scratch-off ticket in the Missouri State Lottery, but she won’t be able to collect. An investigation alleges Cromer stole the ticket from the Fenton, Mo., convenience store where she works. Police say she stole about 30 tickets a day until she found the winning one. When a co-worker found out about the theft — because Cromer showed her the ticket — Cromer promised her $2,000 to keep quiet, but the co-worker squealed when Cromer didn’t pay the promised hush money. “We’ve all seen the stories about the world’s dumbest criminals,” commented Jefferson County prosecutor Bob Wilkins. “This certainly ranks right up there.” (AP) ...Hardly.
