If you think TV game shows like Who Wants to Marry a Multimillionaire? are starting to stretch the bounds of taste, consider Anything for Money, a feature on Peru’s highly rated Laura en America talk show starring Laura Bozzo, a Lima attorney. The feature paid contestants to do what most people wouldn’t normally do: $30 for a woman to lick the armpits of a body builder who hadn’t bathed in two days, or $20 for three men to eat a bowl full of live Amazon tree grubs — apparently only giving the money to the man who finished them first. (AP) ...It could be worse: in the U.S., people are willing to be humiliated on the Jerry Springer show for free.
