Face the Nation

Baltimore, Md., mayoral candidate Dorothy Jennings, 57, appeared on a local news show to talk about her campaign. One of her topics: crime. That caught the attention of an off-duty police officer who was watching the news. He recognized Jennings as Dorothy Joyner, whom he knew to be wanted for burglary. He called the precinct and alerted them to the situation, and TV cameras recorded her being led away from the TV station in handcuffs. (AP) ...It’s not often that politicians and police can work together to reduce crime so quickly.
