Several of the principal dancers from Macedonia’s corps de ballet have taken a side job: helping arms dealers sell weapons. Dressed in camouflage, dancers Olga Bojev, 29, and Marija Josifovska, 21, greeted buyers at the arms fair in the capital city of Skopje to call attention to various small arms. “We prefer dancing, but sometimes you have to take what comes along,” Bojev said as she arranged a display of machine guns. How’s business? “It’s been great business over the past 40 years in the former Yugoslavia,” said one dealer at the fair. “We’re talking 20 billion pounds” (US$28.3 billion).
