Flat Foot, Fat Head

Robert Jordan says the New Haven, Conn., police department won't hire him because he is too smart. Jordan alleges he was told, “We don't like to hire people that have too high an IQ to be cops in this city.” Jordan has now sued the city, saying he was discriminated against because of his intelligence. The suit says the New Haven's hiring decisions are “irrational, arbitrary and capricious.” (AP) ...The city will respond to those charges just as soon as they can figure out what they mean.
