Food Fight

An El Cerrito, Calif., woman has been charged with child abuse after her 13-year-old daughter ate herself to death. The child, whose calves were 47 inches around, weighed more than 680 pounds when she died. Mom said the girl had steadfastly refused to see a doctor for the last four years, and had not left their apartment for months. “She wouldn’t cooperate,” the mother explained. “When she has an appointment, what can I do?
