Some parents in Dover, Del., are upset that their second-grade children were “married” to each other by their teacher. The classroom event at Star Hill Elementary paired same-sex students together to pledge their friendship, to share, and to play nice. One parent said the lesson “condoned homosexuality” and vowed to take her son out of the school. Teacher Ede Outten said it was little different than children singing “I love you, you love me” on the Barney TV show. “Even Barney’s intentions would be suspect in Dover,” she said.
