“I really, really like you. I hope you don’t get upset with the picture I sent,” William Fortner, 35, said in a message to Circuit Court Judge Sherri Sullivan. “I hope you remember me.” The picture, sent later, showed Fortner in a nude “obscene pose”. She remembered him all right, from a 1994 trial for sending obscene photos to another woman. Sullivan had sentenced him to probation, which ended earlier this year. Confronted with the new photo, Fortner pleaded guilty to a felony count of sending pornography in the mail and faces a $250,000 fine and five years in prison.
