Legislators in Colorado are upset that the replacement for the famed Mile High sports stadium may be named the Invesco Field at Mile High in return for a $60 million contribution by Invesco, a financial company. State Sen. Ken Gordon is asking the Metropolitan Football Stadium District to get input from the public before accepting the deal. “I don’t know where this stops,” Gordon said. “Why have the name Denver for the city of Denver? Why not call it FedEx, Colorado? I bet we could get a lot of money for that.” (Denver Rocky Mountain News) ...Don’t give them any ideas.
