Isaac Mofokeng denies 11 charges against him, including robbery and “malicious damage” to a zoo gorilla in Johannesburg, South Africa. How's that? Mofokeng was running from police investigating a robbery when he hopped over a wall — right into Max the gorilla’s enclosure. Max wasn’t happy with the interruption and attacked the intruder, keeping at it even after Mofokeng shot the beast in the chest. “I thought my last hour had come,” Mofokeng admitted in court. “The first thing the gorilla did was rip my jeans and bite me on the buttocks.” (Reuters) ...Huh: I thought the idea that apes peeled their bananas was a myth.
