Handcuff Happenings

“You know I’m drunk. Just take me to jail,” demanded Kellie Parini of the Butte, Mont., police officer that had pulled her over. Officer William Burt handcuffed Parini behind her back and put her in the back of his patrol car. While he was checking over her car, Parini allegedly was impatient at the delay, climbed into the front seat of the police cruiser, and drove off. Burt followed in Parini’s car, but lost her. He found her when he got to the police station: she was sitting in his car in front of the station, waiting for him. In addition to drunk driving, she has been charged with criminal endangerment for allegedly trying to run Burt down, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and resisting arrest. (AP) ...With time off for providing Burt a fun story to tell his grandchildren.
