Therese O'Dell, 42, of Somerset, England, was unhappy that she could not get her new washing machine fixed. After a third repairman also couldn't fix it, O'Dell blocked his van in her driveway, saying she would not move until she was given a new machine. “At first he thought it was a joke,” she said, but “his face turned from amusement to disbelief to fear very quickly.” The police finally had to respond to negotiate the repairman's release. She got her new machine, and no charges were filed. (PA) ...Hell hath no fury like a consumer ripped off.
