He May be Lying

A good lie is getting harder to find. So says John Soeth, president of the Burlington, Wisc., Liars Club. He says that their annual contest is bringing in fewer tall tales than usual, and that concerns him. “If lying goes away, what’s left in America?” he asks. Perhaps the problem is that professionals are not eligible. “Our club is only open for amateurs. The politicians can’t join,” he says. “If politicians were included, the average person would not know what to do.” (AP) ...Pretty much the same way that if honest people were elected, politicians wouldn’t know what to do.
