This is True

Help Keep a Woof Over His Head

Karen Kuhlman of Ft. Mitchell, Ky., says she doesn’t know how her dog, Duke, got on various marketing lists, but the 5-year-old pug has been getting an awful lot of mail. She says Duke has been offered a door-to-door sales job paying “as much as $9 an hour and college tuition reimbursement.” Plus, “He gets [credit card offers] as often as you and I get them. He’s pre-approved and has a credit limit of $2,000. I tear ’em up. I don’t want him running amok with these things.” And, she says, he’s been reminded to register for the draft, and an art institute wrote, “Duke, our students are a lot like you — friendly, creative, talented and serious about success.” (UPI) ...The sad part is, that’s probably true.
