Customs officers in Spain confiscated three live monkeys hidden in the suitcases of a man arriving from Bolivia. The man, who said they were meant as presents for his children, was released pending possible charges of unauthorized possession of a protected species. Meanwhile, Canadian Customs officers in Calgary, Alta., arrested a man flying in from Bulgaria. A tip said he may be a drug courier, and a search turned up more than 5,600 tablets of Ecstasy. “He was wearing pantyhose and they were put down into the pantyhose,” a Customs spokesman said. “This is the first time I've heard of pantyhose being used.” (AP, Reuters) ...This was the first time he was caught.
