Homeless, Sweet Homeless

Marian Neal, 40, was living with a friend in Alexandria, Va., and felt sorry for a 7-year-old neighbor who needed a kidney transplant. Neal was a perfect match, and donated one of hers. Neal, who is on disability for a back injury, was then evicted from her friend’s public housing project because roommates are against Housing and Urban Development rules.
