Cosmo Zinkow, an eighth grader at Griffin Middle School in Atlanta, Ga., gave his teacher a special gift for Christmas: a bottle of Mouton Cadet Bordeaux. The teacher, following school policy, told the principal about the gift. The principal, following district policy, suspended Zinkow for 10 days for possessing alcohol on campus. Zinkow’s father is furious. “When you take a Christmas gift to the teacher, wrapped and in a box with a bow and a card, that’s not possessing alcohol,” he said. “I felt like this was an appropriate gift for her.” (Reuters) ...If it were the 1994 vintage, and not that off-year swill he got, sure.
