It’s Not Rocket Science

Margie Knake, 72, checked into the hospital for open heart surgery in Nashville, Tenn. When nurses came in to her room to prepare her for the operation, she was gone. Hospital security guards searched the entire building before someone noticed a note Knake had left behind: “Gone to vote, back in 30 minutes.” It was election day. An election official at Knake’s precinct confirmed yes, an elderly woman had come in to vote, complete with IV tubes coming out of her arms. The surgery went off fine — and on schedule.
