Jean-Charles Thomas, the bishop of Versailles, France, has ordered the recall of the “Bible for Christian Communities”, which was written in modern, “straightforward” language. The Book, for which Thomas wrote the preface, refers to Jews as “fanatics” and their customs as “folkloric duties involving circumcision and hats.” (AP) ...While you’re fixing things, did you want to take a second look at “Thou shall covet thy neighbor’s wife”?
