Retired Detroit pathologist Edwin Knights and biochemist George Fischer are offering a new service: DNA preservation. DNA swabbed from the mouths of people who die will be freeze-dried and put into canisters as a keepsake. “It’s a shame [DNA is] being lost when people die,” the pathologist said. “It’s being buried with them, literally.” (UPI) ...That’s the idea. We call it changing the water in the gene pool.
