This is True

Just Wanna Be Like You Too

When Robert Sullivan retired from teaching and got his first retirement check, he sent it back because it was twice as large as it should have been. An investigation of California state records revealed there were two Robert Sullivans teaching school, both using the same identification numbers, and both paying into the state teachers’ retirement fund. Police say Willie Clifton Wright, 59, bought copies of Sullivan’s teaching credentials, assumed his identity, and taught at Inglewood High School under Sullivan’s name for 10 years. Wright was arrested but pleaded not guilty to five counts of perjury for applying for driver licenses under various names, two counts of impersonating Sullivan and one count of grand theft for collecting a salary for teaching. (UPI) ...If it was “theft” to take a teaching salary, does the school plan to recall 10 years’ worth of diplomas?
