This is True

Kansas Woman Related to Blessed Virgin

Margarita Holguin Cazares says a plaque of the Virgin Mary she has at her house in Lewis, Kan., weeps blood. The local Diocese, skeptical of such supposed miracles, had the blood tested. It is in fact blood — and its DNA matches Mrs. Cazares’ blood. But the test results haven’t changed the mind of true believers, who still think the phenomenon is a miracle. “If they are insinuating that Maggie is putting the blood on the plaque, how do you explain it when she’s not even near it?” asks Cathy Woolard, the editor of the local newspaper. Woolard says maybe the matching DNA is part of the miracle. “With God, anything’s possible — who are we to question?” (AP) ...If it’s not good enough for the Diocese, it’s not good enough for me.
