Kansas governor Joan Finney, a Democrat, was recently replaced by Republican Bill Graves. But her cat, Jesse, refused to leave the governor’s mansion when Finney moved out. Finally trapped in a cage and forcibly relocated to Finney’s private residence, the animal was acting “territorial” and was said to be “fat, sassy and very vocal.” (RC/AP) ...Now wait: are we talking about the former governor or the cat?Original Publication Date: 15 January 1995
