Farmer Glen Fritzler is tired of the low prices he gets for the corn he grows. So the La Salle, Colo., farmer cut a 10-acre maze in his field — and found that so many tourists want to walk through it he’s making more money from visitors than from selling corn. He charges $6 for adults, $4 for children. “I know we’re going to get lost but I don’t care because we’re in corn,” said one visitor who brought her son’s birthday party to the maze. Fritzler expects 20,000 visitors before he plows the stalks under. The maze was designed for him by Brett Herbst, who attracts clients to his Utah business over the Internet.
