Men of the Cloth vs. Women with no Clothes

Strippers in Hurricane, W.Va., are astounded at some job offers they have received recently — from a local Baptist church. The jobs: plumbers, electricians or construction workers, and the offer includes free training. The church, led by Rev. Gerry White and located near the Lady Godiva’s strip joint, raised $3,000 to lure the strippers away from their jobs. The strippers, however, don’t think much of the offers. “I’m a dancer. I don’t see anything wrong with being a dancer,” says Amanda Rice, 21. “If I wanted another job, I could get another job.” Another stripper agreed. “Where else am I going to make $280 a night and have so much fun?” asked Tiffany, who refused to give her real name. “Can you imagine me as a plumber?” (AP) ...Strangely, yes: most people are used to seeing down what’s inside plumbers’ pants.
