Police in DeKalb, Ill., have arrested a man for trying to burgle the police station, officers say. “We usually don’t have people breaking in [here]. That’s pretty rare,” said Lt. Jim Kayes. John M. Lu, 22, was allegedly crawling through the ceiling of the station toward the evidence locker after entering through a window. Officers heard him and pulled him down. Police had arrested him less than 24 hours earlier for secretly videotaping women in a dressing room and had confiscated his camera. “He wanted his camera and the tape back,” Kayes said, adding that after Lu attempted suicide following his second arrest, he was taken to a hospital for a psychiatric examination.
