This is True

Nothing to Hide

As Terry Richards, 28, was leaving the Springfield Mall in Springfield, Va., a security guard confronted him and accused him of shoplifting. Richards denied taking anything, and allegedly pulled down his pants to prove it. As shocked shoppers gaped, the security guard, apparently not distracted by the full frontal display, found a pair of athletic shoes hidden in Richards’ jacket. Police arrested him for shoplifting, and added a charge of indecent exposure, too. Police officer Katie Hughes theorized, “I guess he put them in the back of his jacket so, when he dropped everything, nothing was revealed.” (AP) ...A statement Richards will use as a defense against the indecent exposure charge.
