Gary Gunderson, 43, convicted of embezzlement and grand theft, told the judge in his sentencing hearing that his eyesight was so poor, he didn’t realize how much government property he had stolen while on the job with the Forest Service. Forest Service officials said that “truckloads” of goods, including furniture and a generator, were found on Gunderson’s northern California property. Judge William Polley saw the problem clearly, and sentenced Gunderson to prison and probation. (AP) ...If he couldn’t see, how did he drive the truckloads home?
