“Invisible Jim” is a new hot-selling doll. The 2-pound (US$2.75) doll recently went on sale in the U.K., but it really isn’t a doll at all. It’s an empty package that notes Jim features a “lack of darting eyes” and “realistic fake hair,” and that it’s “as not seen on TV.” Yet the empty package still sells. The manufacturer, the What-if-Atlas-Got-An-Itchy-Bum Company, says its mission is “to save the world from crap dolls.” (PA) ...Americans want something for nothing.
