This is True

Of Their Peers

Helen Schuckman of Fair Lawn, N.J., figures it was the savings account she opened for her daughter that did it: her daughter, Ellie, was put on the county juror’s list, and she received a jury summons in the mail. “I mean, she’s a bright 3-year-old,” Helen says, “but I don’t think she’s ready to sit on a jury. She might stand in front of the judge and do a little dance or something, but that’s about it.” (AP) ...She’s qualified: that’s approximately the same mental level as the average O.J. Simpson juror.
