On the Chart with a BulletJesse Washington, editor of the music magazine Blaze, said he went to the “Hit Factory” music studio to talk to rap artist Wyclef Jean about a review Blaze was about run of an album Jean produced. A bad review. Jean tried to talk the editor out of running the critique, and that’s when Jean pointed a gun at him, Washington alleges. “It was pointed right at me, at my chest,” he claims. “For some reason, sometimes hip-hop artists, they seem to feel like they can operate outside the rules of normalcy.” However, Washington says, he wasn’t afraid for his life. “If you’re going to kill somebody, you’re not going to do it in the Hit Factory.” (AP) ...Apparently, the concept of being murdered at the “Hit Factory” isn’t ironic enough for him.
