Buckingham Palace has announced that Britain’s royal train is now available to “appropriate organizations” for charter. “It has to be something which is felt to be appropriate,” sniffed a palace spokeswoman. “Part of having control of our own budget means we have control to explore options.” Meanwhile, one option being exercised explains why the train is available: eligible royals are traveling on public trains using Old Age Pensioner’s passes, Buckingham Palace admits.
