Personal Foul

Fourteen football players from the University of California at Los Angeles have agreed to plead guilty to illegal possession of handicapped parking permits, which allowed them to park in reserved spaces close to classes and avoid parking fees. They were also charged with giving false information to the state Department of Motor Vehicles in order to obtain the special privileges. The misdemeanor charges could have resulted in 6 months in jail and a $1,000 fine, but the players have agreed to a plea bargain and accept sentences of 200 hours of community service and a $150 fine.
