Father Olan Rynn, 27, a priest at Sacred Heart church in Galway, Ireland, made sure he got the approval of his Bishop before posing for a special charity calendar. But once it was done, Bishop James McLoughlin asked that the photo be withdrawn. “I did not appreciate the type of calendar which was envisaged,” he said, adding that the promoters “graciously agreed to withdraw the photograph of Father Rynn.” The photo, taken for the “Bare Shakers” calendar, shows Rynn wearing only a clerical collar — and “covering his modesty with a bible.” A barmaid at O’Leary’s bar, across the street from Rynn’s church, shrugged off the controversy. “I do not think anyone should get their backs up over it, especially as it was done for charity.” (PA) ...The back is one thing.
